Welcome to the new, W7DUX / Sisters Repeater Group information site
"Coordinated on February 18th 2007"
A "Sisters Repeater Group" Owned & Operated Repeater
The repeater is operational however it is experiencing a "decense" problem from an overload of RF at the site. In the next few weeks, we will be trying to locate the source of this bad RF. At this time, you will need to have a good signal into the machine as it will have to overcome about 7 db of noise to open the receiver. We thank you for your patience!

View from the location of the repeater on Five Mile Butte, overlooking the area between Sisters to the right of the screen and Black Butte off the screen to the left.
On August 31st. A forest fire (Named the GW Fire) started in the cascades a few miles west of the repeater site. Over the next four or so days, the fire consumed much of what you see in the very near field and completely around Fivemile Butte. When we get a moment, we will try to get you some before and after pictures.
Black Butte Ranch, escaped the fire by less than 1/4 mile .
The Repeater survived without any real threat. The TV translators in the area did not fare so well...all the receive coax burned on them.
